Are you concerned about the amount of time your teen spends staring at screens? You aren’t the only parent who has these concerns. Although technology has transformed our world and made our lives easier, having easy access to the world’s vast collection of knowledge and entertainment has created a concern for many parents.
Join us for a FREE showing of ‘Screenagers’ documentary coming to Granby this Thursday, January 18. The poignant film highlights teenagers and their avid tech use. According to the physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston, an average child today spends roughly 6.5 hours each day looking at screens. The event brought to you by East Grand Middle School, the EGMS PAC, EGSC Health Committee and Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA.
The evening will begin with a free dinner at 6 pm with the documentary starting at 7 pm. After the screening, local professionals from Middle Park Medical Center, Mind Springs Health, Grand County Public Health/Communities that Care Grant, Granby Police, and Grand Futures will be available to answer questions and provide more information. Multiple door prizes will be raffled off during the evening.
