Women Infants and Children Program (WIC)

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that provides health education, vouchers for healthy food, and other free services to Colorado families who qualify.
WIC is for:
- Breastfeeding women (up to one year postpartum)
- Children until the age of 5 years
- Infants
- Non-breastfeeding, postpartum women (up to 6 months postpartum)
- Pregnant women
WIC Program Includes
- Breastfeeding support
- Nutrition education
- Nutritious foods to supplement a person’s regular diet
- Screenings and referrals
Eligibility
To be financially eligible for WIC, a participant’s combined gross income cannot exceed 185% of the federal poverty standards. For example: A family of four can make up to $3,400 per month and still be eligible. View income guidelines.
Clinics
WIC clinics are held once a week at the Grand County Public Health office in Hot Sulphur Springs at First and Moffat streets.
The Fraser WIC clinic is held at Grand County EMS station 2, 122 W. Eisenhower Drive on the first Wednesday of the month.
The Kremmling WIC clinic is held at the Colorado State University (CSU) Extension Hall on or around the fourth Monday of the month.
